1. Is implant placement a painful procedure?
Implant placement is performed under local anesthesia or sedation, ensuring that the procedure is completely painless.
2. What is sedation?
Sedation is a state of reduced consciousness induced by administering specific drugs that affect the central nervous system. It is a medical procedure that helps the patient remain calm and free from fear, making the procedure easier for both the patient and the doctor.
3. How long does it take from the moment the implant is placed until the procedure is complete?
After implant placement, a waiting period of 3 months is required for the upper jaw and 2 months for the lower jaw to fully complete the procedure. Of course, if there are any complications, the process may take longer, but it cannot be shorter. The 2- or 3-month period is the optimal time for the body to integrate the implants and ensure everything is securely in place.
4. How many days after the procedure are the stitches removed?
There is no need to return for stitch removal, as resorable sutures are used that dissolve on their own.
5. How many days does it take to make crowns or prosthetic work?
7-10 business days.
6. Can I eat immediately after a tooth repair or other procedure in the oral cavity?
You can eat if anesthesia was not used. However, if anesthesia was administered, there is a risk of accidentally biting the numb area of the oral cavity due to lack of sensation.
7. What are the available payment options?
It depends on the type of prosthetic work. If implants are placed first, only the implants are paid for initially, and the remaining balance is paid upon completion of the work. For crowns or other types of prosthetic work, the full payment is due on the day the prosthetic work is placed. You can read about all payment options (cash, cards, and bank transfers) here.
8. Is there a warranty on the work, and how long does it last?
The warranty on crowns is 5 years with mandatory annual check-ups, while implants come with a lifetime warranty, provided regular check-ups are maintained as agreed with the doctor.
9. Can the invoice be issued in German, Italian, or English?
The invoice is issued exclusively in Croatian. If a translation is needed, patients are responsible for arranging it with a certified court translator.
10. Does the clinic provide accommodation for patients?
For patients from abroad, we offer arranged accommodation near the clinic (a 10-minute walk away) for the duration of the therapy.
